A Couple Random Thoughts

Random Thought #1

My son is a linguistic genius. At the tender age of 17 months, he has done what many fail to do in their lifetime; create a new word. My son has created two new words that I think will catch on. I need to first come up with meanings. I have been brainstorming and I have told a few people about the words to see what they think. The feedback has been very positive.
The first word is "hobotch." I think the first use of this word is fairly obvious due to its similarity to the two curse words "ho" and "bitch." I think my son is genius for combining the two for those times when both are applicable. If you think of another use for this word, please send me a comment!
The second word is "abiglabby." I believe that the appropriate definition for this word is quite simply "nonsense." Sample use:
*Picture two detectives on one of those Law and Order shows discussing motives for a murder*
Cop 1: I think that the stripper killed her customer because he tried to tip her with change... and it didn't stay in her g-string.
Cop 2: Now that is pure abiglabby!
Cop 1: Well... that WOULD partially explain why the victim was beaten to death with a sock full of quarters.
Cop 2: That hobotch!

Random Thought #2

Since moving to a much more major metropolitan area, I have pinpointed the absolute most rude and inconsiderate thing that one driver can do to another group of drivers (while remaining within legal limits). That act is best illustrated by my story of a recent trip from northern New York (I was there for my sister's wedding) back to Virginia (where I reside). My family and I were making excellent time until we reached the state of perpetual construction, Pennsylvania. What should have been a simple trip through a construction area turned into a 45 minute exercise in self control and patience. Here is the scenario. My wife was in the driver's seat and she sees a sign that says "Left Lane Closed 2 Miles Ahead - Merge Right." So, my wife (being the responsible driver that she is) complied and merged to the right. As traffic slowed, we noticed that there are still people in the left lane speeding ahead to the front of the pack to shove in ahead of everyone else. Our trip through the construction zone should have taken a maximum of 10 minutes if everyone merged where the signs started (and that is being generous). But, no! As we reached the area where the left lane ended, there were still all of these inconsiderate assholes cutting people off to get into the right lane. I don't know why this shocked me at the time because this is pretty much a daily occurrence in the area I live. I think that I was particularly perturbed because it was going to be a long enough trip without the unnecessary hold up.
