FLO RIDA

Let me preface this by saying that I am not a fan of Flo Rida (the rapper), however, I am not going to pick on him. I am going to thank him for helping to provide two of the funniest and most disturbing segments on the Today Show ever!
He performed his hit record "Right Round" which includes the chorus:

(Flo Rida)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down
(Ke$ha)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down

This is a feelgood song about strippers and sex. Nothing cryptic about the lyrics, right? (pssst... "go down" = oral... *wink*) Here is a link to the whole song here so you can read for yourself. CLICK HERE! I have nothing against the lyrics or the song... IN THE PROPER ENVIRONMENT. Watch the video.

Oh look! Little Billy loves the song. He wants if played at his 6th birthday party. And Grandma Hazel is getting her groove on too! Look! The normally stuffy and conservative Hoda is singing along too! She loves oral! They all love oral! Great for them! Is the Today Show REALLY the place to announce it? I am at home watching this and wondering if I am the only person in the world who hears what Flo Rida is saying.

Then this came on after the commercial break:

What the hell is that 7 year old doing there (Go to 2:00 in the video and again at 4:23 to see him grinding on the TV cart if you missed him)? And how does he know the lyrics and the dance.

Shawty had them apple bottom jeans (jeans)
Boots with the fur (with the fur)
The whole club was looking at her
She hit the floor (she hit the floor)
Next thing you know
Shawty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low
Them baggy sweat pants
And the Reebok's with the straps (with the straps)
She turned around and gave that big booty a smack (hey)
She hit the floor (she hit the floor)
Next thing you know
Shawty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low

I have got nothing against the song or the rapper, but damn Today Show... this is definitely Late Night territory you ventured into this morning.

typical white people going over board to show they aren't racists. " We like this black man's music, we are dancing to it, we let our kids listen to it to be diversified" and " See? We can't be racist, we are talking to him"
I found Matt Lauer asking about his ghetto upbringing (way to dig deep for those stereotypical questions Matt), Meredith Vierra grooving and Quintin Tarantino realizing the camera is on him before he starts applauding very telling and creepy as well. I doubt Hoda or the kids parents have a clue what the lyrics mean. I love that Flo Rida now has clips of how he pranked a bunch on white people who don't own one single song of his. He went back to his hotel room and laughed his ass off at the dumbass white people who are so scared to come across as racist sell themselves out by pretending to like his music. ps, I bet hoda heard the two songs he sang or the first time the night before so she could seem in the know by singing along.... I bet none of them realize what the lyrics were saying.... good post!
