I went to DC last night with my wife. We had an overpriced dinner and a late night adventure on the Metro. I am very tired right now, and yet I cannot sleep. So, I am emptying my head of a few random thoughts.
First off, I prettied up my blog a bit with a new layout and a lemonade stand. If you buy any of the items that I have suggested on there, I get a portion of the sale. SWEET!
Next, I saw the last debate. I have to say that I was not overly impressed with either candidate. My boy Obama seems to be getting tired. His speech was very labored. I thought that he should have teed off on some of the grapefruits that McCain was pitching him. McCain came off as a grumpy old man. He was repeating himself a lot. Joe the fucking plumber got more mention than any of the issues. That was also mostly what I heard pundits and newscasters talking about the next day. I wasn't happy that I stayed up past my school night bedtime to watch.
RANDOM THOUGHT: Is anyone else as uncomfortable with Canadian singer-songwriter Bruce Cockburn's last name as I am?
E's The Soup is an awesome show. It's the only good thing they have on their network.
In response to Webster, who commented on my last entry:
Thank you for reminding me about Sylvester Stallone's bastardizing of the Rocky movies by releasing "Rocky Balboa" in 2006. I could also say that the last Rambo movie was a bad idea as well, but that series has always been crap. Rocky was a solid series that held my interest for the first four movies. I didn't like part five and the series should have died there anyway because Stallone was already aging. Then at the age of 60 Sly decided to trot a reputable franchise back out for one last paycheck. I don't care if it is a good movie. I have read reviews that suggest that. Rocky was semi-sacred. It turned into something that just hung around too long.
